PRINTING
Footnotes Design & Marketing meet the technical experience and expectations to achieve high quality results for all projects. The staff of Footnotes Deign & Marketing have many years of graphic arts industry experience and understand all of the relevant printing processes, from the initial concept brief and generation of finished artwork, through to the delivery of the final printed product. reduction of environmental impact
Footnotes Design & Marketing specify vegetable-based inks for their offset printing, and require that all waste is recycled wherever possible. We request that all printing plates and pre-press chemicals are recycled through reputable sources who can provide an EMS audit. This environmental footprint is measured under AS14001.
When supplying quotations for printing, Footnotes offers an alternative quotation using recycled stock, and encourages electronic proofing of artwork (e.g. PDFs) where possible, rather than using laser print-outs. Footnotes is always mindful of adopting sustainable working practices, and encourage the implementation of reuse and recycle at every opportunity available.
Digital printing is offered as either an alternative to offset printing or in conjunction with offset printing, when it can provide a more cost effective result or to suit a tight deadline.
INNOVATIVE
Footnotes Design & Marketing seek innovative products and solutions to add to their offerings. As a result of their knowledge and expertise in their relevant fields, Footnotes embraces the challenge that innovation provides.
A few examples of innovative products undertaken recently include:
• printing directly onto magnetic stock (Magnecote) – a substrate that prints like paper whilst acting like a magnet. It is recyclable into landfill, printed using vegetable-based inks and does not require any adhesives or laminations as per the conventionally printed magnets.
• printing onto a variety of static films that are repositionable, that do not use any adhesives and are versatile enough to be forme-cut, perforated, and even distributed through the regular mail via Australia Post.
• temporary tattoos using Food Grade/Cosmetic Grade inks, printed here in Australia at our Melbourne location.
All of these provide variations to the marketing mix for our clients, and we are excited about the potential that these can bring to any campaign.
